Up to 90% patients across 7,000 conditions are untreated (undiagnosed, misdiagnosed, miscoded, uncontrolled, at-risk). For example, cachexia (muscle wasting disease) is estimated to impact over 90% of cancer patients and result in 20% of casualties, however, over 50% of these patients are currently untreated. Through the application of Pangaea’s platform which imbibes AI based on clinical guidelines, NHS oncosurgeons found 6 times more untreated cachectic cancer patients compared to metadata and pre-emptive NLP approaches.
