Pangaea Data & Microsoft collaborate to bring ambient listening & real-time AI insights to clinical workflows

With the combined AI features of Pangaea Data & Microsoft Dragon Copilot, clinicians will be able to ambiently document consultations & get actionable insights in real time, within their EHR & workflows

South San Francisco, CA, USA, 23rd October, 2025: AI health tech company Pangaea Data is today announcing a collaboration with Microsoft with plans to connect Microsoft Dragon Copilot with its clinical platform. The collaboration, which will bring Dragon Copilot’s natural language speech, ambient listening and generative AI capabilities together with Pangaea Data’s advanced AI reasoning, is designed to help clinicians turn real-time patient conversations into actionable insights that lead to earlier intervention and more personalized care.

Faster care, better outcomes

Pangaea Data’s platform already helps clinicians detect untreated and under-treated patients across hard-to-diagnose conditions. Its advanced AI reasoning emulates the manual review processes of analyzing electronic health records (EHRs), based on established clinical guidelines, and works seamlessly across all the tools and workflows clinicians already use and trust.

With the combined power of Microsoft Dragon Copilot, this AI will be able to respond in real time to these reviews, at the point of care – listening live to patient conversations, documenting key details, and surfacing actionable insights that help clinicians make even more informed and tailored decisions, faster. From here, the platform will be able to then streamline clinical actions based on these insights, such as scheduling follow-ups and updating patient notes, all without the clinician ever having to leave their native workflows.

By coming together to optimize workflows within existing clinical processes, Pangaea Data and Microsoft Dragon Copilot will help flag insights that would otherwise remain buried in a patient’s records, while also highlighting often overlooked social factors embedded in the same records.  All of which will lead to reduced time to diagnosis; patients receiving more timely and guideline-directed treatments; better outcomes and less pressure on health systems.

“By connecting Pangaea Data’s platform capabilities with Microsoft Dragon Copilot, we will allow clinicians to focus on their patients while the AI surfaces the insights they need, all without disrupting their existing workflows,” said Dr. Vibhor Gupta, Pangaea Data’s founder and CEO. “What’s powerful here is that every step, from capturing the dialogue to analyzing the record and scheduling follow-ups will happen seamlessly within the same AI-powered workflow. The integration will reduce the burden of note-taking, ensure critical insights aren’t overlooked, and help deliver more timely and equitable care.”

Peter Durlach, CVP, Chief Strategy Officer, Health & Life Sciences, Microsoft  said: “The connection between Microsoft Dragon Copilot and Pangaea Data’s platform will help clinicians access meaningful insights directly within their existing workflows. It’s another example of how Dragon Copilot’s ambient-powered solution enables partners to seamlessly deliver innovative, human-centered solutions that improve care quality and the clinician experience.”

Pangaea Data’s platform is already in use across health systems globally, where it’s being applied to help find untreated and under-treated patients across hard-to-diagnose conditions, such as chronic kidney disease (CKD), cancer cachexia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), as well as rare diseases, such as Hypophosphatasia (HPP).
