Session: Evidence-Based Medicine
Learn how, in collaboration with AstraZeneca, Pangaea’s AI platform was configured to identify asthma patients at risk of exacerbations and/or asthma-related death, according to the 2024 Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) recommendations. Among those at risk, assess whether patients are prescribed guideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT), whether the therapy is guideline-preferred (GPMT), and whether symptoms are well controlled under therapy.
The study evaluated Pangaea’s platform approach alongside Vanilla Large Language Models (LLMs), including GPT-o4-mini and GPT 5.2, to assess its ability to identify clinically relevant insights from patient records.
