Pangaea’s AI platform is configured on clinical guidelines to find more untreated and under-treated patients with hard-to-diagnose conditions for screening and treatment at the point of care. The Role

Key Responsibilities:

Customer & Partner Engagement

• Participate in technical discussions with customers, partners, and strategic stakeholders.
• Explain AI capabilities, deployment approaches, and system architecture to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support implementation projects, technical workshops, and solution design activities.
• Prepare technical materials for business development activities (e.g. demos, proposals, RFP responses).

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with clinicians, product managers, and commercial teams to understand real-world healthcare challenges.
• Gather internal and external feedback to inform product development priorities.
• Communicate upcoming platform changes and support successful feature adoption.
• Contribute to research publications and thought leadership.

Platform Delivery

• Work closely with engineers to understand the product development and roadmap.
• Work closely with engineers to ensure high standards of software quality, testing, documentation, and maintainability.
• Monitor performance of deployed features and drive continuous product improvement.

Technical Leadership

• Translate business and product goals into clear technical priorities and deliverables.
• Contribute to definition and execution of the AI product and technology roadmap.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and assess relevance to platform evolution.
• Mentor engineers and promote best practices in engineering and architecture.

Requirements

Technical Experience

• Degree (Bachelor’s or higher) in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Informatics, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience building and deploying AI / ML / DL / NLP / LLM systems in production environments.
• Proficiency in Python and modern AI frameworks and tools (e.g. PyTorch, Transformers, Scikit-learn, OpenAI Codex, Claude Code).
• Experience with data engineering, APIs, distributed systems, and cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP).
• Experience working with structured and unstructured healthcare data or complex enterprise datasets.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and modern development workflows.

Leadership & Stakeholder Skills

• Experience leading technical projects or mentoring engineers.
• Comfortable engaging directly with customers and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and pragmatically.
• Strong product mindset and focus on delivering real user value.

Nice to Have

• Experience integrating with healthcare systems (e.g. EHR platforms such as Epic or Cerner).
• Experience building commercial software products in regulated environments.
• Publications or research experience in AI / ML / DL / NLP / LLM or biomedical informatics.
• Startup or scale-up experience.
